About Akinniran A. Abisogun, MD
Dr. Akinniran A. Abisogun earned his medical degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Piscataway, New Jersey. He did his internship and residency at Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island. He then went on to do a fellowship in interventional cardiology and cardiovascular disease at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Chapel Hill, N.C. Dr. Abisogun is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, adult comprehensive echocardiography and registered physician in vascular interpretation. He is a member of The Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions and American College of Cardiology.
Dr. Abisogun has special interests in high-risk coronary interventions, peripheral vascular disease and care delivery to underserved populations.
